The sessions covera international standards for machine-readable data, such as Darwin Core – DwC, the use of APIs and tools for programmatic access and visualization, and procedures for drafting and publishing data papers.

Learning Objectives

By completing this training, you will be equipped to:

  • Understand the core principles and values of Open Science;
  • Master data citation techniques and practices to ensure proper attribution;
  • Apply the Darwin Core (DwC) standard for formatting and sharing biodiversity data;
  • Access and retrieve data programmatically using APIs.
