The Project

'MEDREGION' aims at supporting project for the second cycle of the MSFD Implementation and following the background set in the Call, it has a strategic role in the frame of the Common Implementation Strategy (CIS) of the MSFD. Among the key objectives of the project are: i) focus on biodiversity descriptors and indicators based on criteria according to the new GES decision (EC 2017); link pollution pressures with biodiversity; support to the development of effective regional measures with a special focus on biodiversity in relation to pressures exerted on it and to coordinated measures to protect species and habitats.
